The Preschool operates its education and childcare programmes from 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, for 48 weeks of the year. The Preschool is closed for 4 weeks over the Christmas period.

There is a minimum booking requirement for each of the days your child is enrolled.

Minimum Half Day Options

  • 8.30 - 12noon
  • 12noon - 3:30pm

Minimum Full Day Options

  • 8.30 - 3:30pm
  • 8.30 - 2.00pm (short day)

Your daily booked hours must include one of the above options AND your weekly enrolment must be at least 7 hours for the whole week.

Extensions - Bookings can be extended to start at 8am and/or finish up to 4pm.

Fee Information

Dropping Off & Collecting - To meet regulations please ensure that you drop off and collect your child promptly at the correct times (unless you are staying with your child outside their booked hours).

Early/Late Fees - If you drop off your child earlier or collect them later than booked times we charge $2 per 10 minutes or part thereof unless prior arrangements have been made.

An additional $20 penalty will be charged if you drop off or collect outside your booked hours more than once in a week.

20 hours ECE

We participate in the government 20 hour ECE scheme for children aged 3 years and over.

All attending children who qualify by age are eligible to be funded by the government for up to 6 hours per day to a maximum of 20 hours per week free of charge.

If your child attends another early childhood education centre as well as this one then these hours may be shared between the centres to the maximum of 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week across all centres attended. See more information on 20 hours ECE visit www.minedu.govt.nz

Not eligible for 20 hours ECE

  • Fee - $6.00 per hour
  • All booked hours must be paid for even if your child does not attend the centre
  • Fees to be paid weekly unless by prior arrangement.
  • All expenses in recovery of fees will be your responsibility and added to any outstanding fees.
  • Subsidy -There is a subsidy available through Work and Income to those who qualify, to help meet the cost of fees.  Please ask staff for more details or visit www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz for more information.
